"I was referred to Mark by a friend whose boss highly recommends Mark for his customers who need a handyman's services. Mark answered the phone immediately upon my first call and was extremely polite. We spoke briefly about the work I needed done and he arranged to call me back later in the day when he could better provide me with a service appointment. On the follow-up call, we discussed the service I needed and that it was for our rental. He kindly agreed to coordinate the appointment directly with our tenant. Much to my surprise, my tenant texted me to say that he was at the house the next evening.
He ran a bit ahead of schedule and REALLY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND to get an inspection in so he could assess the work. Unfortunately, the shower door was previously installed incorrectly and it shattered when he went to work on it. "Whoa...gotta say, Mark and his girlfriend are awesomely skilled.
So it's the day before Christmas Eve, and there's a chirping. A consistent, high pitched chirping that just won't stop. Cheep....cheeeeep.....cheeeeeep. Takes me a while to finally locate the source--a smoke alarm that is in the worst position possible: about 15-20 feet up a high wall right above a staircase. My puny 2 foot step ladder combined with an extending 1.5 foot marshmallow skewer are nowhere close to reaching it. I try chucking some cans at it to break it off. Nope, doesn't help. The chirping is driving me crazy. It's driving my cats crazy.
I consider buying a ladder, but I have no hitch or ropes or truck to haul it back. My only other option is a handyman...but it's already night--a few hours away from Christmas Eve, and most handymen are at home with their families, enjoying the holidays. I call Mark, desperate for anything to relieve me of this constant chirping. He picks up (Yeesss!), and is over in about 20 minutes DESPITE being on a crutch with a fractured ankle and despite being the middle of the night during prime holiday season.
Together, he and his girlfriend lug in a 20 foot ladder, precariously balance over the steep drop of the stairwell, and totally dissemble and replace the battery in the alarm in record time. I am not even sure how he could calmly get up that high with his injury...mind-boggling.
Afterwards, they wish me a happy holiday, he quotes me a fair price, and they're on their way. But that's not the end--not one day later, I receive a voicemail from Mark, checking in on the condition of the alarm and also giving some tips on changing it out earlier with a 9v battery so that I won't have to deal with the chirping. I also receive an official invoice in the mail later with the breakdown of the costs an the date, which was great for my own records and reference. Friendly, prompt, and genuinely honest service. Highly recommend!"

"Mark has done a wide variety of jobs for us while moving into our new home: assemble and install tricky light fixtures inside and out, dimmer switches, fix plumbing/shower issues, install bathroom fixtures, hang mirrors and drapery rods, and so on.
When our new pedestal table arrived 2 inches too tall, he took it to a welder who shortened it and repainted it and did a perfect job, saving the day.
